Job DescriptionThe WT Sydney office continues to grow with high-profile new engagements landing with multi-national technology clients, leading to a new Associate Quantity Surveyor role in the Data Centre team.
With major projects underway and more in the pipeline, we're on the lookout for an experienced Associate that has ideally managed Data Centre projects or other similar mission-critical and complex sites.
Those with a real cost-engineer lens and those with electrical and mechanical backgrounds are highly sought.
This role will perform various traditional quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients.
This role is responsible for: Complex Cost Engineering on mission-critical projectsLiaising with clients, architects and main contractorsIdentifying and facilitating new business opportunitiesMaster-plan and feasibility budgetsCost checking of developing designTender evaluations and analysisCash flow projectsProcurementCost reportingFinal account reportingClaims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claimsInvestment analysisFormulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plansQualificationsRelevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil EngineeringExtensive experience in cost estimating and planning software/ Cost XExtensive experience in MEP and heavy services projectsDemonstrated track record of winning and managing major projectsExperience managing mission-critical projects or similar projects of complex designAdditional InformationAt WT, in addition to your competitive salary we offer many perks including:
