What does the job look like?
As the Safety, Training and Wellbeing Manager, you will partner with the senior leadership team to plan, develop, and execute the SH&W strategic plan. You will drive the Linfox safety evolution by proactively coaching and mentoring others to increase knowledge, ownership, and engagement in SH&W.
Key Accountabilities
Partner with the leadership team to plan, develop, and execute the safety, health, and wellbeing plan. Actively support and promote the Linfox safety evolution journey to strengthen our safety culture with a focus on care, trust, and inclusion. Ensure that the business is taking a risk-based approach when it comes to the identification and control of everyday and critical risks. Facilitate 4Ds and STKY sessions to help our team find better and safer ways to work. Provide direction and support for serious incident investigations with a focus on learning, improving, and implementing risk controls. Embed health and wellbeing with a focus on general health, nutrition, fitness, and fatigue. Create a mentally healthy workplace by educating and addressing psychosocial risks. Manage the safety system and auditing to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements. Report and present on performance, trends, and outcomes. Coach and develop the capability of the Safety, Health, and Wellbeing team. Are you the one?
As the successful candidate, you can demonstrate:
RISK: An understanding of how to practically identify, assess, and manage risk. COACHING: Experience in coaching or training. The ability to talk, listen, and influence across a broad range of stakeholders. CULTURE: Experience in building a strong 'team-based' culture. SAFETY: Experience in a safety role within a dynamic, high-risk environment. HEALTH & WELLBEING: Genuine interest and experience in health and wellness. COMPLIANCE: An understanding of legislative responsibilities and the regulatory environment that exists for WHS. LEARNING: A keen interest in continuous learning and the ability to share learnings with others. ENTHUSIASM & PASSION: We want energy!
