About the Role: The position is comprised of a traditional financial manager role within the wholesale & distribution industry. The duties include; Senior Component of the Role • Attend management meetings, and assist with company decisions from a financial aspect • Forecasting P&L, Budget & Cashflow - Advising management & networking with other departments • Explore improvements to our systems, such as new programs alongside our IT, and AR automations • Supervise other accounts staff (at a high level) • Weekly financial reports for the directors • Presentations at board meetings or company meetings Taxation and Role Variety Supervise/fill in for a wide variety of tasks included in typical family business accounts roles: Being prepared to assist in other duties "get there in the doing of the business when required" Insurances, Asic documents, updating employee records. Creditor Insurance/Credit Checks Vendor documentation Apply for Government Grants Cash Flow Management Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Bank Reconciliations Month End reconciliations Instalment Activity Statement (IAS) & Business Activity Statements (BAS) Supervise proper Bookkeeping documentation practices including recording financial transactions Analyzing the Revenue & Expenditure of the business Please note that the majority of the data entry component is done by accounts clerks, however the applicant may need to fulfill this task sometimes. About You: We are after a Senior Management Accountant who has successful experience either as, CFO, Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, or Financial Controller and is confident in their abilities. This may suit a CFO or Financial Controller as a part time role, (or full time), such as during 'school hours'. As book-keepers can fulfill part of the role.
