About your opportunity:

This is a multi-disciplinary position - applications are being accepted from Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and/or Social Workers.
The Rural and Remote Mental Health Program provides mental health and alcohol and drugs services to rural and remote communities within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service area.
These services are coordinated through four community mental health teams located in Palm Island, Ingham, Burdekin and Charters Towers. This employment opportunity is located in the Burdekin Mental Health Service based at the Ayr Hospital.
You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other service providers to provide specialist mental health and alcohol and drugs interventions for community members (and their families) across the lifespan who experience complex and severe problems relating to their mental health and/or alcohol, or other drug use disorders.
Clinicians are supported to draw on their current skills and experience and/or develop skills and experience to provide care across the lifespan to consumers with mental health and/or alcohol or other drug use disorders.

Candidate Requirements:
6. Proof of qualification (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology and/or Social Work) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
7. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
8. Possession of class C drivers' licence.
9. Probation period may apply.
10. Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
