Christian College Geelong is looking for a dedicated and forward-thinking Art, Technology, and Design Teacher to join our progressive educational community.

Founded in 1980, Christian College Geelong is a K-12 school where academic achievement is balanced with care and concern for each student’s character development and wellbeing, grounded in the Christian faith. We have five campuses across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast region as well as a rural experience for Year 9 students at an expansive farm property in Scotsburn, near Ballarat, and a unique Art, Technology and Design campus for Senior School students in Waurn Ponds.

THE ROLE

Christian College Geelong is committed to fostering creativity, innovation, and academic excellence with all our students. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Art, Technology, and Design Teacher to inspire students in the realms of artistic expression and technological innovation.
As an Art, Technology and Design Teacher, you will play a key role in developing and delivering engaging curriculum content across our middle years. Visual Art, Visual Communication Design and Media experience would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be responsible for cultivating a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to explore their creativity, develop technical skills and embrace innovative thinking.
You will have experience with VCE Art Making and Exhibiting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver dynamic lessons that integrate art, technology, and design, catering to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
2. Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages experimentation and innovation.
3. Guide students in exploring various artistic techniques, digital tools, and design principles.
4. Organise and oversee student projects, exhibitions, and competitions to showcase their creative work.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology and design thinking across the curriculum.
6. Provide constructive feedback and support to help students refine their skills and achieve their potential.
What We’re Looking For:
1. A passionate educator with a degree in Art Education, Design, Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in teaching art, technology, and design at the primary and/or secondary school level.
3. Strong communication and classroom management skills.
4. A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
5. Alignment with the Christian values and ethos of our college.
6. Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their creative and technological potential.
7. Vocational teaching experience would be an advantage.
