About the branch
The Corporate Services branch provides critical strategic and operational support services to ensure the continual success and advancement of the VGSO. Balancing an appreciation of the complexities and nuances of the public sector, along with the requirements of operating in a competitive legal services environment, Corporate Services delivers proactive, effective and efficient services to VGSO's internal and external clients. Functions within Corporate Services include but are not limited to; Finance, Business Development and Marketing, Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), People and Culture, Strategic and Business Planning, Business Support and Administration.
About the role
The primary objective of this role is to assist the Projects / Legal Apps & Technology team to drive and manage the effective use of document management systems (Specifically Ringtail) across the VGSO, administer regular system enhancements, and provide assistance and support to key stakeholders in order to meet VGSO and client needs and improve access to legal and other is a great opportunity to develop your career in the legal technology world.
Day to day responsibilities would include:
6. Liaising and providing support to VGSO staff and clients in relation to best practice in the use of document management systems and legal technology
7. Acting as the first point of contact for the use of the e-Discovery system and providing support to stakeholders across the VSGO
8. Advising and developing eDiscovery solutions
9. Matter management to ensure what work has been carried out
10. Assisting staff to work with the required software
11. Working on continuous improvement projects as required
12. Assist other ICT team members with System Administration tasks as needed
Skills and experience
13. Tertiary qualifications or certification in information technology or a related field
14. Basic level understanding of database technologies
15. Intermediary level skills in navigating Microsoft Excel and/or Access
16. Demonstrated experience working in an IT environment
17. Experience with Nuix Discover, Relativity or similar e-discovery software would be highly regarded
18. Experience working in a legal environment would be highly regarded
19. A team player with exceptional communication skills and a commitment to service excellence
20. interest in developing a career in eDiscovery or Legal Technology, focused on technical aspects of eDiscovery and new technology workflows
