This opportunity :
As a Moulding Technician the primary purpose is to ensure the efficient and safe operation of machinery, production of materials and monitor the process of manufacturing of product for packaging in accordance with approved procedures, quality standards, and customer specifications.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
2. Work safely, looking after yourself and your teammates.
3. Ensure any incidents or near misses are reported using Pact’s systems.
4. Maintaining a clean workplace and focus on GMP.
5. Setup moulding machines and ancillary equipment such as baggers, inspection systems and conveyors.
6. Monitor and ensure all Production and QA records are completed as required.
7. Ensure daily production targets are achieved.
8. Ensure that product quality and packing standards are achieved.
9. Initiate changes of moulds and materials.
10. Troubleshoot issues with the moulding machines, trimmers, baggers and inspection equipment.
11. Escalate breakdowns to the maintenance team and assist as needed.
12. Utilization of the production performance system OFS.
About your skills and experience:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
13. Excellent mechanical aptitude coupled with a comprehensive education and/or practical experience in the field.
14. A trade background in areas such as electrical, mechanical, or toolmaking is preferable but not mandatory.
15. Demonstrated problem solving skills and resolving issues at the root cause.
16. Making machine adjustments to address efficiency and product non-conformances
17. Teamwork focus.
18. Good reading and writing skills.
