Job Description
The Role: As the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager, you’ll lead a small team and oversee the entire collection, transportation and distribution process ensuring every container is efficiently collected from return points to maintain the flow of container materials through the scheme. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated strategic mindset as you lead the development of COEX’s supply chain strategies, manage supplier and service provider relationships, optimise logistics operations and drive sustainability initiatives. This is a hands-on role, balancing big-picture strategy with operational execution for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
Ensuring a high-performance team culture through mentorship, coaching & accountability.
Strong relationships with suppliers, carriers & contractors, ensuring long-term partnership success.
Developing & executing strategic supply chain plans to optimise operations.
Leading contract negotiations & tenders with transport & equipment providers.
Enhancing efficiencies through inventory management, route optimisation & technology adoption.
Conducting data-driven analysis to optimise performance.
Driving sustainability goals, reducing carbon emissions & waste in operations.
Ensuring compliance & risk management, maintaining safety & regulatory standards.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency & sustainability.
Encouraging cross-departmental collaboration, fostering open communication & teamwork.
Upholding health & safety standards across the function.

Leadership experience in supply chain, logistics, recycling, environmental or beverage industry.
Strong leadership skillswith a track record of mentoring & leading small high-performing teams.
Proven stakeholder management & key account leadership experience.
Demonstrated successes in analysing data, optimising costs, improving operational efficiency & driving performance outcomes.
Strong knowledge of contract management, procurement & risk assessment.
Expertise in freight management systems, inventory control & warehouse operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation & problem-solving skills.
Commitment to sustainability, safety & regulatory compliance.
Qualifications in Operations Management, Contract Management, or related field (preferable)
Drivers licence & availability to utilise own motor vehicle when required
QLD Working with Children Blue Card or ability to obtain one.
