This is a locum opportunity where your clinical skills will have a direct impact—supporting a regional hospital that plays a vital role in its community, while giving you time and space to recharge by the coast.We’re currently seeking a FACEM for flexible locum work at North West Regional Hospital in Burnie, Tasmania. Whether you’re looking for a quick two-day block or something longer, we’ll help you find the right fit—so you can focus on what matters most.The PositionBurnie’s Emergency Department is part of a modern, 160-bed regional hospital that services Tasmania’s North West region and King Island. The ED team manages a wide range of presentations—from resus and trauma through to medical and minor injuries—with the support of solid infrastructure and well-established systems.You’ll be joining a department that’s appropriately staffed and well run. Day shifts are supported by four FACEMs, with five to six ED Registrars or CMOs rostered across the 24-hour cycle. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team, with the right level of responsibility and support.Dates AvailableShifts are available from 27 April to 24 May 2025, with a minimum booking of two to three shifts.We can also help you identify blocks of shifts that allow time off to explore the region between clinical work.Available shift times include:07:30 – 17:00 (standard or MOIC)14:00 – 23:3015:30 – 01:00 (MOIC) + on-call to 07:30 the following morningWhat’s IncludedWe provide end-to-end support, with everything handled on your behalf:$3,500 per day for standard shifts$3,600 per day for MOIC shiftsTravel booked and paid forPrivate accommodation arrangedCar hire includedOur team handles the logistics so you can focus on delivering quality care, not paperwork or planning.What We’re Looking ForYou’ll be a FACEM with current AHPRA specialist registration, confident managing a variety of emergency presentations and comfortable working in a regional hospital environment.
