You’ll be working autonomously out on-the-road, interacting with others and being a team player.You’ll be:Required to safely perform and operate a van to perform duties such as picking up mail from Street Posting Boxes, Corporate Offices, Licensed Post Offices and Delivery Centres.Required to pick up mail and parcel items from our customers.Unload mail articles from vans and manually sort them into small or large letters and parcels including express posts.Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.Paired up with our experienced senior drivers, who are committed to engaging and participating in your professional development.About you:You hold a full or probationary QLD driver’s licence.You have experience driving a van or similar size vehicle (all our vans are automatic).You’ll successfully pass our mandatory and practical driving assessment.You are flexible with working additional hours if required.You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly.You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less.How we’ll deliver for you:Commence on an hourly rate of $27.04 with a post probationary base rate increase after 3 months + 12% superannuation.We invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety.Be part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued and can bring their authentic self to work every day.We invest in your personal well-being, recognise and reward you for your contribution to our success with Post Perks and more.We’re delivering together:At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
