An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified individual to join the REX Engineering Team as a full-time Workshop Technician, based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
Reporting:
This position reports to the Engine Shop Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
Repair, servicing and maintenance of CT7 Engines & components (i.e. batteries, wheels and brakes) at the Wagga Wagga workshop.
Ensuring all maintenance work is performed to the highest standard, in a timely manner and in accordance with the appropriate approved data
Upkeep of workshop & equipment
Completion of appropriate documentation
Travel to other ports to assist with on wing engine maintenance
Essential Selection Criteria:
Cert 4 in a mechanical trade
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
A demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
Ability to work under independently and adhere to deadlines.
Working knowledge of WHS procedures
A valid driver’s licence
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Competent computer skills
Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card and Airside Driving Licence.
Must be willing to relocate to Wagga Wagga N.S.W.
High level of visual acuity
Preferred Selection Criteria:
Cert 4 in mechanical trade industry or Cert 4 in Aeroskills-mechanical
CASA B1.1 Licence
GE CT7 or other Gas turbine engine experience
Knowledge of CASA regulations
Conditions:
Wage rates and conditions apply as per the Regional Express Aircraft Engineers Agreement.
