About You
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you thrive in a high-volume work environment and excel at attention to detail. With your keen organizational skills, you will quickly adapt to new systems and processes. You’re a multitasker who takes pride in maintaining high data integrity standards, handling accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and serving as backup for payroll processing. This is an exciting opportunity to build your career with a growing and reputable company.
Key Responsibilities
* Quick Learning & Adaptation: Master all tasks within the first month, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
* Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage vendor accounts, reconcile bank statements, process vendor statements, and handle internal suspense accounts.
* Payroll Backup: Support payroll processing, ensuring compliance with Award Provisions and manage Superannuation & Salary Sacrificing .
* Administrative & Customer Support: Provide efficient support across divisions and assist with scheduling resources.
* Financial Reporting: Help prepare financial reports, budgets, and month-end statements.
* Account Maintenance: Update financial records and process payments in line with policies.
* Collaboration: Work closely with staff and supported employees, setting an example that reflects Flagstaff’s values and culture .
What We're Looking For
* Experience: 1–3 years in finance/accounting
* Skills: High attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Excel & accounting software (experience with Business Central, MYP, XMPIE, Dolphin is a plus)
* Organizational Ability: Strong multitasker, independent worker, and team player
* Qualifications: Diploma, Bachelors, Certificate IV in Accounting (desirable)
* Clearances: NDIS Check, WWCC, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
