The key role of the Statutory Planner is the assessment of planning and subdivision applications and providing professional planning advice to applicants, the community and Council. The position also has a role in ensuring compliance with the Mansfield Planning Scheme and Planning and Environment Act 1987.Reporting to Senior Coordinator Planning, the Statutory Planner’s responsibilities will be assessing and determine planning applications within prescribed timeframes, focussing on sustainable outcomes that implement Council’s planning scheme and policy framework, providing high quality planning advice in a responsive, consistent, accurate and professional manner and investigating possible breaches of the Mansfield Planning Scheme, collate evidence and undertake any necessary action under the guidance of more senior professional staff within the Statutory Planning Unit.Remuneration will be based on Band 5A classification $71,717.66 per annum plus superannuation according to the Mansfield Shire Council Enterprise Agreement 2022.Applications close at 5.00pm on Monday 2 December 2024.For more information about this role please refer to the position description and the Information for Applicants page of Council's website here.For a confidential discussion regarding the position please contact Nicole Embling,Senior Coordinator Planning on 03 5775 8524.
