We are looking to engage an experienced Engineering Technologist to provide technical leadership for our company projects and help us take the next step in our growth.
In a nutshell, this role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to support the successful execution of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Support:
o Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop project plans, specifications, and designs.
o Assist in the preparation of technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
o Conduct site visits to gather data, assess project requirements, and provide technical assistance during construction phases.
2. Technical Analysis:
o Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to assess the feasibility and structural integrity of building designs.
o Evaluate materials, components, and systems for construction projects, considering factors such as cost, durability, and sustainability.
o Identify potential risks and propose solutions to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
3. Quality Assurance and Testing:
o Conduct tests and experiments on construction materials and prototypes to evaluate performance and durability.
o Monitor construction processes and procedures to ensure adherence to design specifications and standards.
o Collaborate with quality control teams to address issues and improve the overall quality of construction projects.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of project data, including design documents, test results, and correspondence.
o Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
o Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and regulatory authorities to provide updates and resolve issues as needed.
5. Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to building and construction.
o Participate in professional development activities, such as training programs and seminars, to enhance skills and knowledge.
o Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and standards within the organization.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $114,446.00 per year
