Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has risen to join our National Off-Highway Technical Support team in the role of Product Support Specialist – Industrial Markets covering Mining, C&I, Rail & Powergen. Based in one of our Queensland branches, you will collaborate with service teams, customers, and suppliers, providing top-notch product and technical support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Provide product technical support to Penske branches, OEMs and end customers in the Off-Highway Industrial Markets within Australia & New Zealand.
* Liaise with MTU factory representatives to facilitate technical support.
* Build and maintain excellent relationships with key customers and act as key aftersales technical contact.
* Work closely with Penske Service departments regarding technical issues.
* Work collaboratively within the technical support team on failure analysis of issues for elevation to MTU.
* Support team improvement projects in collaboration with Engineering & Technical Support management.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Technical qualifications OR relevant trade and industry experience on MTU product mechanical and control systems
* Experience in Industrial markets preferred but not essential
* Computer literacy to a level necessary to write technical reports and presentations for internal and external customers
* Ability to work within a team environment to meet specific deadlines and to work independently and self-motivated
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Exemplify and communicate Penske OPTIC Values
* Work Environment: Office; a degree of regular travel within Australia and NZ may be required
