Location: Ballarat Child Care Co-Operative (BCCC), Ballarat North, Vic.3350Position: Full-time (9-day fortnight) positionsType: Not-for-profit, LDC Community Service (7:30am-6pm)Salary: Above award rates About Us:BCCC is a 54-place not-for-profit, parent-managed community service dedicated to providing high-quality education programs that enrich the lives of children.With over 35 years of experience, we pride ourselves on creating a nurturing, educational, and child-safe environment in our newly renovated centre, featuring inviting play spaces and beautiful outdoor areas.What we're looking for: As a leader, you will mentor and foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture, and maintain respectful communication with families, children, staff and the Parent Committee of Management.The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for community-based early childhood education and be a passionate advocate for inspiring practices where children come first.Key Responsibilities: The Centre Co-Ordinator will oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning and continuous improvement of the service.This includes ensuring that the service meets relevant legislative requirements and standards.Additionally, the Co-Ordinator will promote and support staff wellbeing initiatives, creating a positive and collaborative work environment.Leading and inspiring a team that aligns with our values and philosophy.Minimum ACECQA recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma training (or be willing to obtain).Willingness to be in the role of Nominated Supervisor.Hold a valid and current Working with Children Check and police check.Thorough understanding of the Education and Care National Law and Regulations, Family Assistance Law, the National Quality Standard and Approved Learning Frameworks.Experience or understanding of reporting requirements under ACECQA and NQA ITS, Inclusion Funding applications and requirements, PRODA and Provider Entry Point (PEP).Extensive understanding of the Child Safe Standards, Reportable Conduct Scheme and mandatory reporting.
