We’re looking for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Sydney Civil & Water Resources Team .
As the frequency and intensity of floods, droughts and storms increases, the water industry must continue to build resiliency and lead from the front.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
1. Leading water resources assessments integrating water balance, water quality, flooding and drainage aspects for traditional energy and resources projects and emerging asset transition applications. Our team are also involved in infrastructure projects across Australia.
2. Being part of a team that includes leading practitioners in the NSW industry
3. Providing creative solutions to fit the needs of our clients and communities
4. Supporting the management of a variety of multidisciplinary projects
What you will bring to the team:
5. Strong understanding of the environmental issues with relation to the management of surface water, particularly for energy and resource clients. The ability to appropriately scope and carry out the corresponding required assessments in accordance with NSW requirements.
6. Coordinate and review hydrology and hydraulic modelling to inform planning studies through to detailed design of new infrastructure
7. Advanced analytical and spreadsheet abilities. Intermediate GIS capability preferred.
8. Candidates with site or construction based experience looking to apply practical knowledge to complex assessments and design are encouraged.
9. Appreciation for CAD (eg 12D, Civil3D, AutoCAD) is vital for coordination of design and drafting team members.
10. Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating and solving problems to brief and budget
11. A business and relationship development attitude to enhance our client portfolio and project delivery
12. Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
13. An interest in coaching and mentoring to technically strengthen the team capabilities
14. Project management skills of water resources projects, including preparation and review of fee proposals, management of resources, budget, risks and health and safety
15. Bachelor of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
