Salary: $700 - $800 p.d. + 12 month contract w/ extensions

About the client:
Our client's vision is to build a more disaster resilient Queensland by delivering value for money, coordinating and supporting in the recovery of disaster impacted communities statewide, development of effective disaster recovery and resilience policies, and building the capacity for local and state government to recover quicker following natural disaster events.
About the role:
The majority of the projects delivered by the applicants will be civil construction road works. These projects will vary in value, scope & complexity. Outside of the traditional program management fundamentals, this role will require a strong financial background as the team is accountable for quantifying, verifying, and processing applicants' monthly progress payments (claims).
The Program Manager (Area) will be required to work with the Technical Director and Portfolio Manager to undertake the following:
* Assist local government and other delivery agents to successfully execute programs, while delivering program management and project controls for funding programs including (but not limited to):
* Monitoring and reporting on the governance, scope, cost, time, and quality of programs and projects
* Maintaining Governance of, and verifying, monthly progress and payment claims
* Identify (discover), develop, implement, embed and sustain systems, procedures and/or processes for program management continuous improvement.
* Provide assistance to Regional Liaison Officers (RLO) for advice on programs.
* Be available for deployment at short notice to support QRA activities throughout the state as required.
* Undertake related programs, projects and other duties of equivalent complexity as required.

Skills and experience:
* Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Project Management (required)
* Project Management Professional (PMP)
* Foundational or Practitioner - Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
* Current Criminal History Check (within 3 months)
* Advanced level in Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience with document control solutions and Primavera P6
* Demonstrated ability to problem solve and process data from multiple sources
* Ability to self-manage working with a high-volume workload
* Demonstrate sound governance
* Confident and well-presented
* Extremely high attention to detail
