ALG is currently seeking a CNC Machinists to join our defence client's team in Brisbane. This is a permanent position offering full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate CNC machines to produce, modify, and manufacture components based on drawings and work orders.
2. Record and sign off completed tasks on job orders.
3. Ensure all finished work meets quality inspection criteria outlined in drawings.
4. Use electronic workstations to track task progress and costs.
5. Utilise hand tools and equipment necessary for job tasks.
6. Perform routine machinery maintenance as needed.
7. Complete on-the-job training according to specified standards.
8. Execute JPTMS (jigs, programs, tools, materials, setup sheets).
9. Independently set up, operate, and inspect components using 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.
10. Provide training to junior CNC Machinists.
11. Maintain shift continuity by documenting actions and issues.
12. Uphold high standards of product quality.
13. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations for safe operations.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned based on skills and qualifications.
Key Requirements:
1. Hold a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent).
2. Possess knowledge of manufacturing techniques, processes, and troubleshooting.
3. Demonstrate a commitment to producing quality work and meeting product standards.
4. Have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
5. Exhibit exceptional attention to detail.
