Local Council based in Northern Sydney. Join an established team, reporting to the Manager People & Culture. This role will see you working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across Council, managing WHS, wellbeing issues, worker's compensation claims and RTW programmes. ABOUT THE POSITION. An initial 5 month contract with potential for extensions & an opportunity to transition into a permanent role. You will supervise the works of a WHS Officer and work alongside another Risk Officer. All processing of claims are outsourced. DUTIES. Coordinate the implementation of Council's WHS framework and Management Systems Collaborate with your team to plan for WHS training needs Support the effective administration of Council's WHS processes Coordinate the Workers Compensation insurance programme Investigate WHS injuries and incidents, including RTW programmes SKILLS & EXPERIENCE. Tertiary qualifications in WHS or relevant Accreditation in RTW coordination Experience in implementing safety systems Supervisory experience is highly regarded CULTURE.
