The Opportunity: With consistent growth, Promech are looking to welcome a capable Senior Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineer to become part of their tight-knit team in Toowong. Oversee and complete detailed engineering design for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Validate designs through calculations to ensure they meet Australian and International Standards. Supervise designers producing detailed EI&C drawings to Issued for Construction (IFC) level. Sign off on EI&C designs and produce/review engineering design reports and calculations. Prepare and review technical specifications for EI&C equipment, instrumentation, materials, hardware, and software. Offer technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to less experienced engineers and designers. Assist with project scoping, task sequencing, and estimating costs, time, and resources. Ensure consistent output quality, maintain design records, and foster good relationships with clients and colleagues. Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field. Demonstrated engineering experience in one of the following industries: oil & gas, petrochemical, water, or wastewater. Recognised competencies for Classification and Design of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas. Substantial knowledge/experience in the areas of electrical hardware, surge control and instrument calibrations. Passion for safety and quality. Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
