About the role
Temporary part time opportunity to provide specialist multidisciplinary inpatient rehabilitation for clients with a moderate to severe acquired brain injury. The service aims to ensure that each client of the service who has sustained a moderate to severe acquired brain injury (ABI) reaches their full potential by the provision of a high standard of evidence-based care from a dedicated and committed multidisciplinary team of health professionals.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
1. Deliver high level Social Work clinical services within the multidisciplinary team in a rehabilitation setting, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, including comprehensive psychosocial assessments and interventions.
2. Provide high level clinical advice to diverse stakeholders including professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers, medical and allied health team members regarding service delivery and the prioritisation and development of social work clinical services.
3. Accountable for the provision of leadership within a legal, professional and ethical framework that ensures contemporary patient care and staff management practices.
4. Exercise independent professional clinical judgement in providing Social Work clinical services of a complex nature where principles, procedures, techniques, or methods require expansion, adaptation or modification, without the need for direct regular clinical practice supervision
5. Apply high level of Social Work knowledge, skills and experience to manage complexity regarding consent, decision-making capacity and other psychosocial risk factors and advocate to ensure service provision is delivered based on legislative, ethical and professional requirements.
