I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency in Geelong to recruit an EL1 Assistant Director and EL2 Director Service Guidance for a full-time temporary assignment until December 2025, with a high likelihood of an extension.Your new roleThese pivotal positions involve significant responsibility and authority to address and resolve issues and risks across a wide range of activities.
The successful candidates will lead, plan, manage resources, and make critical decisions for their respective teams and assigned contractors within the designated work areas.Key Responsibilities:Lead the delivery of key strategies to enhance guidance material, improving participant experience and the capability of the Agency and its partners.Ensure the quality of guidance material, focusing on accessibility, clear messaging, and the application of behavioural economics principles.Report on key deliverables and continuous improvement activities to align with National Delivery support priorities.Collaborate with key stakeholders to coordinate, research, and develop agreed policies, guidelines, and protocols for implementation across the service delivery network.Initiate, establish, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to develop collaborative guidance supporting service delivery.Provide strategic advice on participant pathways, specific participant cohorts, and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business systems.Support business improvement in access and planning processes, offering expert advice to internal and external stakeholders.Raise awareness of critical issues through regular management reporting to senior NDIA management.Lead a small team in delivering Agency Guidelines, letters, and knowledge articles.Prioritise and manage team capacity, scope of work, and progress against key deliverables, providing advice to the Agency's executive team.Offer considered advice to multi-disciplinary teams, the Agency's executive, Board, Minister, and other Australian Government Departments.What you'll need to succeedAs the successful candidate you will possess a high degree of independence, exceptional decision-making skills, and the ability to manage highly complex or sensitive projects.Qualifications and Experience:Extensive experience in a leadership role within a similar environment.Resolve issues and manage risks across a wide range of activities.Maintain a positive attitude towards people with disabilities and understand the impact of disability on individuals.Lead and manage a small team, including workload management.Provide leadership, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and work programs.Strong understanding of strategic and operational significance within a large organisation.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Be enthusiastic about accessibility and comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessible design and development.Understand how to develop Plain English resources within the government style guide.This role requires candidates to be an Australian Citizen.Successful candidates will need to complete 2x reference checks and an NDIS Worker Screening Check.What you'll get in returnThrough Hays, this role offers you a day rate of $602.55 to $754.20 plus super.
