We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our leading not-for-profit organisation in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management Reporting: Provide monthly and quarterly management reports, offering insights into financial performance, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
* Grant Income Treatment (AASB 15): Manage the treatment of grants received each quarter in accordance with AASB 15.
* Financial Analysis: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
* BAS & Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
* Payroll Processing: Oversee and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy in salary payments, deductions, superannuation, and compliance with relevant legislation.
* Lease Treatment (AASB 16): Oversee the correct application of lease treatment in line with AASB 16.
* MYOB System Review & Improvement: Manage MYOB system functionality, conduct reviews, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
* Balance Sheet Review & Reconciliation: Conduct monthly balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
* NDIS Process Management: Manage NDIS Portal payment requests, non-labour costs, and transport claims.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong understanding and practical experience with AASB 15 and AASB 16 standards.
* Proficiency in MYOB accounting system, including financial data review, payroll, and reconciliations.
* Previous experience with NDIS processes is highly desirable but not essential.
* Excellent knowledge of taxation (FB, BAS, PAYG, GST) and superannuation management.
* High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage queries and liaise with staff at all levels.
* Ability to contribute to system reviews and process improvements.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software/tools.
