Job Description
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual with excellent technical and client-facing skills, to act as a security infrastructure engineer who will support the design, configuration and maintenance of a wide range of security tools.
About the Role
This is an ideal early career role, where the individual will be expected to work across a variety of technologies such as Splunk and Sentinel, AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Security Lake, CloudWatch, Cloud Train, Microsoft XDR and others as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the design and configuration of a range of security tools, such as: Splunk and Sentinel, AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, Security Lake, CloudWatch, Cloud Train, Microsoft XDR.
* Support the design and configuration of network security devices, network routers and switches, establishment of VLANs, DNS and identity management capability.
* Support the integration of security tools with identity management solutions.
* Support the creation and establishment of cloud hosting and cloud containers, apply security controls and compliance frameworks.
Requirements
Technical Skills
* Adaptable to new technologies supported by 3+ years of technical expertise.
* Experience of Cribl and JIRA ITSM work would be desirable.
* Self-motivated to understand tools that may not have been used before, researching and testing potential solutions.
* Experience in EC2, S3 and Docker deployments.
* Experience in basic administration of Windows.
* Experience in configuration of Linux including package managers and scripting.
* Understand TCP/IP component layers to identify normal and abnormal traffic.
Soft Skills
* Client-side consulting, including stakeholder engagement and the ability to communicate insights and concepts to others (including briefing skills and report writing).
* Coaching mindset - help and mentor team.
* Security process development.
* Able to understand and adapt to different cultures and hierarchical structures.
* Self-starter and capable of independent working.
* Team player and adept at working in multi-disciplinary and diverse teams.
