Our client is seeking a Solution Architect to join their dynamic Technology Team in Perth. This key technical leadership role will engage proactively with the business, understanding challenges and opportunities, advising stakeholders on innovative use of technology to improve business performance. As custodian of the integration and data platforms, you will ensure these platforms are secure, reliable and available. Responsibilities:
1. Review and enhance platform architectures to maintain currency with technology improvements.
2. Monitor emerging security best practices and implement improvements aligning with information security aspirations.
3. Monitor platform performance and costs to deliver a reliable, available, cost-effective service.
4. Identify and manage cyber security risks and oversee a response plan to recover from platform outages.
5. Develop and promote best practice technology standards, patterns and re-usable frameworks.
6. Steward backlog and sprint planning activities to ensure development activities are focused on organisational priorities.
7. Collaborating with Stakeholders, work closely with business leaders, developers, and other teams to understand requirements and ensure the architecture supports business objectives.
Skills and experience needed:
The ideal candidate for the Solution Architect position brings a wealth of experience in cloud computing, software development, architecture designs. With at least 10 years' experience in a similar role, you have extensive knowledge of modern data platform architectures (preferably Azure-based), including data lakes, data warehouses, Power BI reporting. Your experience with cloud-based integration and data transformation (preferably Azure-based) sets you apart. You also have experience with public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS solutions.
