The Role Financial ControlMaintain accurate records and ensure timely filing of external returns.Drive business profitability through effective cost control and operational efficiency.Manage budgets, cashflow, and Board-level financial reporting.Oversee fund operations, including settlements, cash reconciliation, and fund accounting.Ensure compliance with audit and reporting requirements.Operations & ComplianceSupervise daily operations and ensure excellence across the organisation.Optimise processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency.Maintain compliance with ASIC, AUSTRAC, ATO, and AFSL regulations.Prepare and manage fund-related legal and compliance documents.Lead the implementation of a Retail License and associated offerings.Strategy & LeadershipCollaborate with the CEO to develop and implement strategic plans.Drive operational initiatives aligned with the company's mission and vision.Lead technology upgrades, including customer portal implementation and data security enhancements.Customer RelationsOversee systems and processes to exceed client expectations.Manage relationships with referral partners and other stakeholders. About youExperience & Expertise: 10+ years in financial services, audit and/or accounting operations, with CA/CPA qualifications.Industry Knowledge: Financial services or funds management experience advantageous but not essential.Leadership: Strong people management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a small team.Analytical & Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach to compliance and financial reporting.Tech-Savvy: Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement process improvements.Collaborative: A team player with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Motivated to Learn: Mid-career professional with a hunger for growth and a proactive attitude.
