A local council in the South East is seeking a Temporary IT Infrastructure Support Engineer. In this role, you will be essential in maintaining and enhancing ICT systems while supporting a major project to replace existing network infrastructure with Aruba technology. You will collaborate closely with the project team and third-party providers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Network Infrastructure Support:
o Manage on-site upgrades of network switches, routers, and WiFi equipment.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise post-upgrade to ensure seamless functionality.
* ICT Systems Management:
o Maintain and optimize system and network monitoring applications.
o Provide support for hybrid, on-premise, and cloud environments, assisting with business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
* Project Delivery:
o Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery within budget.
o Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Documentation and Reporting:
o Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of ICT systems and processes.
o Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
Position Requirements:
* Strong experience with Aruba network technology and proven skills in network upgrades.
* Proficient in troubleshooting various network and systems issues.
* Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
* Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365 is highly desirable.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Local council experience preferred.
