Clinical Nurse (Safety and Quality) – Paediatric Critical Care

About Our Team:
Paediatric Critical Care comprises the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the High Dependency Unit (HDU) and is one of the specialised services at Western Australia's only tertiary children's hospital.
The Paediatric Critical Care (PCC) unit at PCH offers a state-wide intensive care service for critically ill infants, children and young people.
Nurses in PCC are responsible for the care of sick and injured children as well as their post-surgical care.
This includes complex Cardiothoracic, Ear Nose and Throat and Neurosurgery.
PCC has access to the latest technology and innovation and is a Centre for Intensive Care research.
PCC also forms part of the hospital's emergency response and medical emergency team.
The PCC unit is a Level 3 Intensive Care Unit and offers a range of complex services including an ECMO service.
The PCC Safety and Quality Clinical Nurse is responsible for developing, analysing, implementing, and monitoring quality improvement activities within PCC.
The Clinical Nurse contributes to the provision of high-quality evidence-based nursing care through clinical practice review, policy and guideline review and quality improvement activities.
The Clinical Nurse is also responsible for the collection, coding and analysis of data.
