The Department of Communities protects and cares for Western Australian children and young people who are in need and supports families and individuals who are at risk or in crisis. About the roles:
1. Child Protection Workers: Work with children, young people and families who are vulnerable or in crisis to ensure children are safe and protected from harm.
2. Field Workers: A modified Child Protection Worker position for those without relevant qualifications.
3. Case Support Officers: Provide direct support to Child Protection Workers by collecting, recording and analysing client information.
4. Family Support Officers: Provide supervision and support to families, children and young people about accessing Department and community resources.
5. Administrative Assistants: Contribute to the effective management of the District Offices.
6. Customer Liaison Officers: First point of contact for community members accessing services.
7. Parent Visitors: Undertake home and community visits to provide support to Parents and Carers.
8. Best Beginnings Plus Workers: Provide culturally appropriate parenting skill services.
Qualification Requirements:
Under our Child Protection Workforce Model, priority will be given to qualified applicants in the first instance to maintain a qualified workforce. If you have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or a relevant human services area, please apply for the Child Protection Worker position.
