18 years old and their families.Experience or interest in working with neurodivergent children, including autistic and ADHD children and children with developmental delays is preferred, advocating for their needs, and supporting them to develop their Regulation, Motor Skills, Social Relationships and Self-Care Skills.We highly value the ability to develop authentic relationships with children and families as this forms the foundation of our therapeutic support.An understanding of neurodiversity affirming practices and be up to date with evidence-based practice.Deliver play-based early intervention services in the client's natural environment.Capacity build parents, educators, and other stakeholders in how to support the client and develop their communication, life skills, play and engagement.Have a high level of written and verbal communication skills, particularly in advocacy, mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution.Work effectively as part of a transdisciplinary team.Opportunities to provide peer mentoring and senior roles, if of interest and individual suitability.As a mobile therapist you will work from the comfort of your own home to plan and prepare therapy sessions before travelling into the community to provide your services at homes or schools.You will be required to manage your caseload by completing clinical notes and reports while communicating with your current clients and stakeholders via attending meetings, emails or via phone.An example of what a day in the life of our paediatric therapist looks like:An initial assessment with a 4-year-old at her home with her parents, parent interview to gather background and functional information, play-based interaction with the client to observe their strengths and challenges.A care team meeting with a client's parents, internal/external therapists and additional stakeholders to develop a cohesive therapy plan to support the client's transition to school.Coffee at a local café.Driving while listening to a podcast or music of your choice!Supervision with clinical leader or administrative time to develop client therapy plans.A school-based session with a 7-year-old, supporting their interoceptive and emotional awareness skill development.Followed by a quick chat with the teacher and email to the parents with strategies/resources they can use to practice the skills before the next session at home.Administrative time to complete session documentation and correspondence.Role RequirementsBachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy.Preferable NDIS experience and understanding.A passion or interest in working with children and their families.Proven ability to establish meaningful relationships with a variety of stakeholders.Current driver's licence and own registered vehicle.AHPRA Registration.Other qualifications specific to disability will be highly regarded.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Why work for us?Flexibility to support work-life balance is highly important to us as an organisation.Access to regular supervision and mentoring to support your development with a wide range of experienced clinicians.Access to flexible workplace office days within your local state to engage with the wider team in your area.Regular social team building activities inside and outside of work hours.Access to weekly internal learning and development on discipline-specific and generalist topics, as well as recorded past trainings.Weekly national team meetings virtually.Regular discipline-specific meetings which include relevant updates and bite-sized learning.Opportunity to gain or maintain skills working with clients across the lifespan.Access to new graduate program (if relevant).Uncapped professional development allowances (some conditions may apply).Travel allowance.Opportunities for career and professional progression in a manner that is authentic to your aspirations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
