Our vision is to be a global leader in providing trusted solutions that improve life today and tomorrow.About the roleThe Technical Writer supports the development and drafting of Standards and other types of documents across a wide range of subject areas and has the ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine the clearest and most logical way to present technical content for greatest reader comprehension.What you'll doDevelop content for draft Australian Standards and other documents across all project stagesHave accountability for the working draftDevelop drafts in consultation with technical expertsInterpret verbal and written technical content to draft in a way that is appropriate for the intended audienceEnsure that the structure, content and language is in line with Standards Australia's Guides, Procedures and House StyleAddress any feedback provided by Standards Australia Publishing Services teamLead the Drafting Team in the review and resolution of Public Comments on the working draftCollaborate with committee members to facilitate discussions and manage technical issuesWork effectively with Standards Australia Project Managers and Publishing Services team to develop high quality documents and escalate unresolved issuesEnsure projects are delivered within agreed timeframes and scope parameters as per Standards Australia's project management methodologyDevelop the drafting schedule in consultation with the Project ManagerAbout youUniversity degree, or other relevant qualificationMinimum 3 years' experience in technical writingCommunicate information clearly, concisely and accuratelyWork cooperatively and collaborativelyManage competing prioritiesCulture & BenefitsStandards Australia is proud to have been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice Award for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
