With offices in the UK, USA, Australia and UAE, En Route supplies premium baked goods, meals and snacks to the travel industry.Job Purpose : Reporting to the Head of Operations APAC, the Customs, Logistics, and Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics of international freight, as well as coordinating purchasing and stock receipt activities.
This role ensures compliance with all import / export regulations, tariff systems, and customs requirements while also managing supplier relationships and coordinating stock movements to support business needs.Key Responsibilities :Logistics and Customs Management : Act as the subject matter expert for international freight and logistics, investigate applicable legislation, advise on import / export restrictions, review freight rates, organise shipments, manage customs compliance, liaise with vendors, and monitor costs.Purchasing and Stock Management : Coordinate stock purchases and transfers, manage stock receipt processes, resolve discrepancies, maintain records in ERP systems, review and approve invoices, support continuous improvement initiatives, and communicate variances in costs.Person Specification :Experience :Minimum 3-5 years of experience in international freight and shipping, ideally within the APAC region.Minimum 1-2 years of experience managing customs and compliance for export / import of food products.Proven experience in purchasing and stock management.Experience with ERP systems, with Microsoft Business Central preferred.Skills :Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail and ability to work independently.Proactive problem-solving skills.Strong organisational and time management skills.Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands.Positive attitude towards delivering high-quality outcomes.Seniority level : AssociateEmployment type : Full-timeJob function : Supply Chain and Customer ServiceIndustries : Food and Beverage Services, Caterers, and Wholesale Food and Beverage
