The role
Reporting to the Civil and Track Supervisor you will be responsible for civil infrastructure and track maintenance activities for the network. This will include planned preventive maintenance, inspection, reactive repairs related to asset failures. In addition, you will be responding to emergencies, managing points of escalation and carrying our Asset Inspections to ensure they are fit for service. There will also be an opportunity to provide input to the testing and commissioning teams and developing training modules and procedures.
What you bring
In addition to your certification III in Rail Infrastructure, your background will include demonstrated experience working as a Track Infrastructure Maintainer. Your high-level problem-solving skills will allow you to manage difficult situations including responding to emergencies and restoring assets after incidents. This will be supported by the ability carry out asset inspections and undertake fault finding and ensure asset reliability. Equally important is the ability to engage and build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
