About the OpportunityKimberley Renal Services now has an opportunity for a dedicated Dialysis Registered Nurse Level 2 to join their KRS team in Kununurra, WA, on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will manage a client caseload and deliver culturally safe nursing care in accordance with unit protocols and best practice guidelines. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Provide care in accordance with unit protocols and within the scope of practice as set out by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Evaluate and adjust treatment parameters in relation to clients' response to treatment and monthly blood tests.Ensure assigned portfolios are managed by unit staff and provide support as required.Coordinate the shift and support the skill development of junior staff.Contribute to the development and implementation of a KRS Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) framework.Provide a holistic approach to client care, contributing to the multidisciplinary team and making referrals as needed.Support the role of the Aboriginal Health Worker.About YouTo be successful in this position, you will need to be eligible for national registration with AHPRA, along with advanced renal clinical skills and experience in the renal field. In this fast-paced role, you must have the ability to function effectively in emergency and high-stress situations, while maintaining professionalism and a high work ethic.
You will also be committed to the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal Community Control, acting in a culturally appropriate manner at all times.
Please note: To be eligible for this role, you will be required to hold a current 'C' Class Driver's License and undergo a National Police Clearance.
