About the role This role contributes to the success of the City by ensuring a diverse range of vehicles including truck, agricultural type equipment and both heavy and minor plant in both workshop and field locations for the City of Hobart are serviced efficiently and effectively to optimise their functionality.Role accountabilities include:Diagnose issues using electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.Interpret manuals and software to determine repair procedures.Ensure all work complies with Codes of Practice and relevant Australian regulations.Access and interpret on-board self-diagnostic systems and test procedures.We are looking for a skilled Motor Mechanic with Diesel experience and at least 3 years of relevant work experience. The ideal candidate must hold a current Driver Licence, a Heavy Rigid Licence (or be able to obtain one), and a White Card.A positive, can-do attitude and the desire to work in a friendly team environment are essential.
