Registered Nurses - Scrub Scout | Newcastle
If you are an experienced Registered Nurse seeking a new challenge, there are exciting opportunities for you. A private hospital in Newcastle is currently seeking experienced Scrub Scouts to join their Perioperative Team. There are full-time and part-time openings available.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include the following:
* Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
* Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
* Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
* Leading successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
* Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
* Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current Registration with AHPRA;
* Minimum 4 years' RN experience in Scrub Scout / Perioperative Nursing - Experience in Neurosurgery is highly desirable;
* Authority to Work in Australia (Current);
* Valid NSW Working with Children check;
* Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
* Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement;
* Self-motivation and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team;
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
* Having highly developed interpersonal skills, being proactive, motivated, and customer-focused;
* Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing or working towards it (desirable).

REMUNERATION
$35.46 - $49.79 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Newcastle, is an 189-bed, acute, private facility with 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. A cardiac suite includes a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite, including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery, is available for families in the Newcastle region. The facility provides specialty care for individuals and their families undergoing cancer treatment and care with an inpatient unit and a day infusion lounge.
