The Company Our client is an established Australian owned company that specialises in supply, distribution and installation of a large range of roofing specific building products. Their own branded products are manufactured in Sydney to the highest standard of quality, whilst they also distributing for a European market leader.
The business will target largely projects with major home builders and in the commercial space and have products suited to schools, single dwelling and multi-residential, high-rise and industrial developments.
Their growth and expansion over the years has led the company to align with a large global manufacturer who they also now distribute for exclusively. They're established as a well-respected industry leader, now with operations in every state.
The Position Based out of Melbourne, the Sales Manager role has become available and will be responsible for development and growth of the company's sales throughout Victoria.
Based out of the newly established warehouse and office facility, role will have broad responsibility across Victoria and will become the expert go-to for any sales enquiries from end user customers or resellers. The position will play a pivotal part in the business and will quickly become a senior figure within the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Increase overall sales figure
2. Follow up on warm leads
3. Attend industry events to increase brand name and awareness
4. Increase sales direct to end user customers such as builders, roofing & reroofing contractors, plumbers and other trade contractors.
5. Help establish reseller networks in areas not serviced by company sales teams (eg. regional Victoria)
6. Provide technical and sales support to assist in the sale of your product portfolio
7. Manage existing relationships with distributors and end users
8. Report directly to senior management

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for this position will come from a similar sales or product management role within the building products space. You will demonstrate a technical understanding of B2B sales and manufacturing. Any candidate who holds a strong network with either residential/ commercial builders or within the roofing market will be seriously considered.
