About the Role
We are dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for water treatment, distribution, and infrastructure as we expand our portfolio.
The Site Engineering role will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement and design of the mechanical package for one of our key power projects - Kidston renewable energy Hub in North Queensland on a FIFO 14 days on 7 days off basis. This role is vital to ensuring that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently and effectively, supporting our commitment to project success and operational excellence.
Responsibilities of the role include:
* Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for mechanical and process equipment that align with project requirements and organizational goals.
* Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment.
* Cost Control: Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring that all procurement activities are executed within financial constraints.
* Technical Specifications: Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and ensure that purchased equipment meets all specifications and quality standards.
* Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier correspondence.
* Compliance: Ensure all procurement processes adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
To be successful in this key role, you must have:
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
* An advanced level of experience in procurement within the engineering or construction industry, with a focus on mechanical and process equipment.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage supplier relationships and drive cost savings.
* In-depth understanding of mechanical and process equipment specifications and procurement practices
* Familiarity with procurement software and tools, as well as standard office applications.
