The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and forward-thinking person to lead our Waterways Safety Management branch.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of dedicated professionals that is responsible for the provision of best practices in waterways safety management to ensure the safe and sustainable use of navigable waters along the Western Australian coastline and inland waterways. This is achieved through a risk-based behaviour change and compliance approach. This role is pivotal in the strategic development, planning management and delivery of waterway safety operational initiatives to support the achievement of broader Maritime and departmental objectives.
Working across government and collaborating with a range of stakeholders, this diverse role would be suited to someone with the experience and enthusiasm to lead collectively, deliver on best practice behaviour change and compliance regime. The position oversees the Education, Navigational Safety and Compliance and Investigations teams providing a unique opportunity to shape program specifically targeted to saving lives on our waterways.
