ABOUT THE ROLE:Our Geriatric Evaluation & Management Unit (GEM) is a 20 bed unit.Permanent Fulltime, Part time and casual hours available.Provide quality patient-focused and clinical care utilising a person-centered approach.Take an active role in getting to know our patients and their families.Administer medications to patients following professional standards and correct procedure.Undertake assessments, treatment and documentation to the highest standard.Visa Sponsorship, currently unavailable. ABOUT YOU:Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (APHRA) as an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse.Experience working with the older person.Recent experience in the administration of medications.Current Immunisation of diseases as listed in the current NSW Health Policy Directive. This is a category A Risk Position.High level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).Excellent clinical skill base and knowledge.Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care and ability to work in a team environment.You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
