The Industry, Science and Innovation Group collaborates with various sectors to diversify the economy and create jobs by enhancing local industry capabilities and participation.
It also promotes Western Australia's defence and science industries and fosters innovation capabilities.
Tenure: Fixed term, full-time until June 2026 with possibility of extension. The Industry Development Division partners with designated industries to stimulate economic growth and generate employment.
It develops strategic partnerships for sustainable economic development and maintains a legislative policy framework for industry advancement.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and projects associated with industry development initiatives and economic outcomes.
Your focus will be on building the State's digital sector and supporting the adoption of digital technology by industry.
You will drive and coordinate the implementation of the recently endorsed Digital Industries Acceleration Strategy.
Additionally, you will engage with stakeholders, develop budget proposals, and identify and action priorities of the Strategies.
