Due to continued growth, we are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Group Finance Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the CFO & managing a small team, this position is a critical role in securing long term success for the company.
About The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organisation, conducting accurate data analysis and offering advice to management on strategies to maximise profits, and securing long term success for the company.
To succeed in the role, you will have a proactive attitude, strong work ethics, be well organised, ability to plan ahead and solve problems, along with a strong safety focus and clear communication skills.
Key Deliverables/Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
* Mentoring the finance team, distribution of workload, and due dates
* Ensuring finance team are cross-trained and have up-to-date work instructions
* Mentoring and coaching the team on all things, statutory, analytical reporting (identify knowledge gaps)
* Monthly Financial & Management reporting to trail balance
* Providing support to Operational Managers with understanding financials, and key indicators/metrics
* Commentary on monthly financial results – abnormal items
* Ensuring month end close off process is met within published timeframes
* Overseeing budget process, reforecasts, consolidation
* Continue to redefine logic of budget models
* Balance Sheet budgets for consolidation and cash flow, 3 way forecast
* Overseeing the calculation of all client rates and contracts in conjunction with operations
* Annual review of insurance requirements and levels
* Risk Review as the group grows and moves into new areas
About You
Successful candidates will have experience/skills in the following:
* Current Drivers Licence
* Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or similar
* Competent with MYOB EXO, Word and Excel.
* CA/CPA qualified (desired)
* Strong statutory and management reporting skills
* Be an effective communicator – written, verbal & interpersonal
* Previous experience in a similar position
* Ability to meet established deadlines, whilst maintaining a consistent level of professionalism with an eye for detail.
* Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
* Ability to cope with changing plans or ideas as the situation changes, in a positive manner.
This position will be based in Brisbane or Mackay, depending on the location of the successful candidate.
