Mechanical Engineering Expertise for Water Infrastructure
We are seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure Section. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering design, with expertise in water and wastewater treatment projects.
Responsibilities will include developing mechanical designs, preparing engineering drawings and specifications, and reviewing detailed calculations and documents. Additionally, the selected candidate will contribute to multidisciplinary teams, assist with business development, and build strong relationships with key clients.
Our team collaborates with major clients, including Melbourne Water, Yarra Valley Water, and Greater Western Water, as well as regional clients such as Goulburn Valley Water and Central Highlands Water.
Requirements:
* Recognised tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a closely allied discipline
* Chartered status from a relevant engineering body, including Professional Engineer Registration in Victoria
* Minimum 10 years' experience in the water and wastewater industry (post-graduation)
* Extensive experience in performing mechanical engineering design from concept design phase through to detailed design on various water plants and systems
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients
* Leadership skills and experience leading engineering teams
* Experience mentoring and developing junior Mechanical Engineers
