Job Description
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and maintain procedures and systems to ensure all university assets (including operating lease assets) are accurately recorded, measured and tracked. Prepare and provide accurate reporting on all University assets in a timely manner, and in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards. Develop, implement and maintain procedures to accurately identify and account for all capital projects. Prepare depreciation budgets and forecasts for the University and provide analysis on the movements. Prepare monthly reports on the University's leased assets and the associated leasing commitments, including all leased equipment and property leases. Design and implement a rolling cycle of fixed asset stock takes to ensure the accuracy of asset location. Design, develop and test e-commerce asset transaction processing systems. About you:
Immediate availability / availability at short notice. Demonstrated experience with the principles of asset accounting, recognition and recording in line with Australian accounting standards. Demonstrated experience in the analysis and re-engineering of fixed asset business processes in a large and complex organisation. Demonstrated experience in the development of operational procedures and training materials. Experience with Finance One (Technology One) desirable. Experience in providing high level strategic and policy advice in an educational context is highly regarded. CA/CPA qualified or working towards this. What's on Offer
