We look forward to meeting you.Sets up a cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control systems. Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks. Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.This position is an assignment in Adelaide, Australia. Expected to begin in March 2025, the initial contract period is 2 years, with the possibility of annual renewals thereafter up to 3 years. The position will require travel across Australia visiting and meeting with potential suppliers to support AUKUS. Will work collaboratively with the AUKUS In-Country Qualification Team (ICQT) supporting Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) to increase the capability, capacity, and resilience of the Trilateral Supplier Industrial Base (TSIB) to meet the increasing VIRGINIA Class Submarine (VCS) and SSN AUKUS Submarine production pace in the coming decades.Must HaveBachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and/or supervisory work experience; Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experienceOne of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experienceMilitary Paygrade E-5 or above military experienceHigh School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience, or other relevant exempt experienceHigh School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience, or other relevant non-exempt experienceNice to HaveSpecific tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:• Identify US SIB gaps and the path to meet the projected demand.• Evaluate the AUS supply chain and its potential to close those gaps as well as meet the projected demand.• Identify a phased pilot manufacturing program with AUS suppliers to begin qualification of the AUS supply chain for VCS sustainment and AUKUS construction.• Develop a plan to establish an embedded supply chain team to support these qualification and uplift efforts.• Face-to-face communication and onsite supplier visits for events such as Supplier Technical Assessments (STAs), hold point inspections, test witnessing, and final product inspections.• Provide technical support to increase efficiency and expedite qualification timelines in the US supply base.• Lead, coordinate, and report the work of the supplier quality and operations engineering representatives.Preferred Experience:• Experience with the development of VIRGINIA Class Submarine (VCS).• Familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of NNS Supply Chain Management.• Ability to conduct supplier site visits and rate them as to production capability, performance, and delivery.• Experience evaluating bids, selecting, and recommending suppliers based on delivery, quality, and service.• Management of all contract awards until completion of order.Why HIIWe build the world’s most powerful, survivable naval ships and defense technology solutions that safeguard our seas, sky, land, space, and cyber.
