Based in Cairns, Great Adventures is part of the multi-awarded Quicksilver Group and operates a wide range of ecotourism-based cruises to the Great Barrier Reef including Great Adventures Reef and Green Island Cruises, Silverswift Dive and Snorkel Adventures, Ocean Spirit Michaelmas Cay Sailing Cruises and Seawalker Green Island.
We operate a modern fleet of five touring vessels, outer reef platform (pontoons) and dive services including dive operations on Green Island.
We are currently seeking a dedicated professional who will assist in providing exceptional customer service to our guests to fill the above position at Great Adventures.
Our Reservations Team are the crucial first step in our guests Great Adventures journey and as such, need to be able to communicate and sell our products in a friendly and professional manner ensuring that every guest begins their experience with us that will create lasting memories. You will be required to take and confirm passengers' booking as well as issuing tickets and answering questions about itineraries, products, rates and tours.
Essential Requirements:
* A natural ability and passion for delivering exceptional customer service,
* Fantastic communication skills, particularly with spoken, phone and written word,
* Enthusiastic team player,
* Ability to consistently portray professionalism with personal presentation and behaviours,
* Must be available for shift work between the hours of 6.30am to 8pm, including working a 7 day rotational roster.
Prerequisite:
* The position includes computerised reservations, ticketing and manifesting as well as other functions associated within a busy reservations department,
* Previous experience within the tourism industry,
* Respax and RMS reservations and ticketing sytems will be a distinct advantage however not essential as training will be provided,
* Cash handling skills are highly desired,
* Immediate start available.
