About AGL's Torrens Island Transition Team
AGL's Torrens Island Transition team has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer. This position is a 24-month Fixed-Term contract and plays an integral role in the separation and decommissioning of assets, and demolition of AGL's Torrens Island A and B Stations.
Based at our Torrens Island Power Station, you will be working cross-functionally, being the electrical engineering subject matter expert on this transition project, as well as acting as the interface between AGL and external stakeholders, while also working directly with operational and maintenance teams.
What You'll Be Doing
* Conducting feasibility studies, design temporary electrical distribution systems, provide technical support for the decommissioning and disconnection of HV, LV, control, and switchyard and electrical protection systems.
* Review and comment on external electrical engineering scopes and design documents.
* Application of AGL's Management of Change Process including the development of technical drawings and documentation.
* Working alongside a team of subject matter experts and professionals delivering one of AGL's most significant shutdowns, decommissioning and transitions.
* Collaborating with delivery partners, contractors and operational teams to ensure the safe separation and decommissioning of assets through the entire life cycle of the Torrens Island Transition project.
What You'll Bring
* Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
* Demonstrated experience in conducting feasibility studies, Electrical Systems design and electrical disconnection scopes of work.
* Ability to identify and deliver solutions for complex engineering problems.
* Ability to work with conflicting priorities.
* Collaborative approach to creating and delivering solutions across multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
