Founded in 1925, Volkert is celebrating a century of serving our employees, clients, partners, and communities.We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Project Manager to support our Southeast Region in either Orlando, FL or Tampa, FL.This position is responsible for supporting ongoing projects with the ability to manage FDOT PD&E studies and related transportation planning projects throughout the State.What you’ll be doing:Primary responsibilities in developing and delivering work tasks for transportation projects and studies including FDOT PD&E/NEPA documents, data collection, research, existing conditions analysis and documentation.Assist with coordinating necessary tasks required to complete multiple projects in conformity to scopes of work to include the adherence to budgets and schedules.Prepare, edit, and produce technical reports.Participate in the development and execution of stakeholder and public involvement activities associated with transportation projects.Business development activities related to the pursuit of FDOT PD&E studies and related transportation planning projects including client marketing, proposal preparation and presentations.What you need to have:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning or similar discipline10-15 years of FDOT PD&E and related experienceFlorida PE and/or AICPHands-on experience in GIS, MicroStation and MS Project a plusExcellent communication skills a plusAbility to travel and work required hours to successfully perform job responsibilitiesAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
