The Executive Director leads and directs the overall operation of the community in accordance with residents' needs, government regulations, and company policies and procedures. This role requires a strong focus on reducing turnover, creating a structured and orderly environment, developing a high-performance team, and promoting a vision for wellness.Essential Functions of the Job:Orchestrate operational excellence to deliver quality care and maximize return on investment for residents, staff and investor stakeholders.Leverage Functional, Integrative & Holistic partners, as well as leading-edge program/process management tools to deliver innovative, proven modalities that maximize quality of life for our residents & team.Oversee all operations, acting as the primary contact for staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.Ensure buildings, grounds, and property meet company standards through oversight of preventative maintenance systems and programs, and frequent inspections.Respond promptly and compassionately to family and resident concerns, upholding the best interests of the residents and complying with company policy and state licensing requirements.Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in accordance with company, federal, state, and local requirements.Develop and maintain a positive image within the community. Represent the facility and the company to governmental agencies, professional organizations, community groups, and other appropriate public agencies/groups.Hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees in accordance with company policies. Review hires, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations to ensure consistency in the selection and retention of quality personnel.Collaborate with other department heads to ensure building and resident care standards are met, and management and staff morale remain high.Maintain a high degree of resident and staff satisfaction and retention through the consistent delivery of high-quality services. Provide leadership for staff and residents, including proactively solving problems and resolving issues.Foster creativity among staff to deliver the highest quality and best services to residents in the most economical manner possible.Utilize sales and marketing activities and strategies to maximize occupancy.Assist in developing and conducting service plan reviews, as required by state codes, with appropriate resident care team members and resident families.Supervise the maintenance of resident charges and review documentation performed by resident care staff.Oversee the resident admission process to ensure required documentation is completed in a timely and in accordance with established policies and procedures.Oversee the healthcare management and administration of medication to all residents in accordance with company policy and state regulations.Ensure good attendance and perform other duties as assigned or needed.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Gerontology, Business, or a related field preferred.Minimum of five years of related experience.Minimum of two years of supervisory experience.Licensed Practical Nursing License highly preferred.Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements:Must have an Administrator License.Must have a current Tuberculosis skin test or chest x-ray.LPN or RN licensure preferred.Must have compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.Familiarity with Microsoft software preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks.Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles, and interests.Demonstrates good judgment, strong problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Must have a successful track record of managing staff and developing teamwork.Equal Employment Opportunity:The employer provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or any other characteristic protected by law.
